The Oats
The oats are grown for Gloriously Free Oats and milled by Avena Mills at Wandering in Western Australia, planted through winter and harvested in summer on ground that is rotated each season to keep wheat, rye and barley out of the soil. The farmers there hold back their own seed rather than buying it in, and no crop-topping chemicals are used on the paddocks. Once harvested the oats are steamed and rolled in a facility that handles nothing else, then carted east to Queensland and frozen on arrival.
