FAQs
Questions about our chocolate, delivery or your order?
Contact usIs it really bitter without any sugar?
It possesses an uncompromising intensity with remarkable depth. The flavour unfolds gradually, revealing notes of malt and earth inherent to our Dominican Republic beans. This is cacao in its truest form. Many find the complexity compelling without any addition, though sweetener may be added to preference.
Why is it more expensive than regular cocoa powder?
You're investing in single origin, certified organic beans, minimal processing that preserves beneficial compounds, and weekly small-batch production. It's concentrated nutrition and flavour, not diluted product.
How is this different from cocoa powder?
Regular cocoa is often alkalized (Dutch-processed), which reduces beneficial compounds by up to 78%. Ours is pure, unprocessed cacao with all natural compounds intact.
How much should I use per serving?
Begin with 25g per cup. This yields ten considered servings from each tin. For those new to pure cacao, start with less and allow your palate to acclimate to the full expression.
When should I drink it?
Anytime. Unlike coffee, it won't disrupt sleep for most people. The energy comes mainly from theobromine, providing 6-8 hours of gentle, sustained energy without crashes.
Can I drink it every day?
Yes, many customers make it part of their daily ritual. The 25g serving provides beneficial minerals and antioxidants as part of a balanced diet, making it a nourishing daily practice
